Let it never be said that Montreal's Naked & Famous crew aren't serious about their denim. Though they've expanded their collection to include shirting, sweaters, jackets, and more, the jeans remain the heart and soul of the label. Sourced from Japanese mills and constructed ethically in Canada, their jeans come in three cuts—the slim-straight SlimGuy, the slim-tapered WeirdGuy, and the skinny-tapered SkinnyGuy. And while three may not sound like many, they're available in just about every style of rare, unique denim under the sun. Elephant selvedge, slubby, left-hand twill—their collections read like denim dictionaries. Purists can stick to deep indigo, while the more adventurous can go with the colourfully-flecked nep selvedge. If you're feeling particularly playful, you might opt for one of their more outré offerings—glow-in-the-dark denim, for instance. If you see something you like, though, best to get it while the getting's good—that broken-twill with the purple weft won't be around forever.
