Gregory worked in architectural branding at the time, and his background shows up in the thoughtful, functional design of his bags, belts, and wallets. Designs are patterned, prototyped, and tested rigorously before going to production to ensure practicality. Materials are sourced in the US whenever possible, and Makr prides itself on maintaining close relationships with its suppliers, often leading to fruitful collaborations. For instance, vaunted leather manufacturer Horween has created materials exclusively for Makr.
